Capacitive voltage sensor VSO 25.1

In terms of the development this sensor features a higher level of the original VSO 25 sensor. The operational principle is base on a capacitive divider. Its high voltage (HV) sensing capacity consists of a system of electrodes arranged in a way to reduce the effects of ambient humidity (rain, mist and frost) to 7 per cent, at the highest. The secondary capacity consists of an output cable delivered usually in the length of 12 m (may, however, be changed).

The dividers may utilize the capacitive, resistive-capacitive or other type of operating principle, depending on the type of the burden connected to the secondary side and the user application chosen.

 

The manufacturer verifies the low voltage (LV) output by connecting voltage to resistive load of 1 MΩ (22/√3 kV), in which case the voltage value achieves approx. 100 V.

 

The sensor is intended for sensing or indication of high voltages ranging from 3 to 22 kV. The creepage distance corresponds to insulation voltage of 25 kV for highest pollution level (31 mm(1 kV).

 

The device satisfies the insulation and climatic test to CSN EN 61869-3 and GOST 15 150 standards for T1 and UCHL1.
